Inspired Learning is a locally owned and operated tutoring service serving all of the Northshore Area, including all of St. Tammany Parish. We match experienced Louisiana Certified teachers with the students who need their expertise. Our Purpose Our purpose is to help the students of our area reach their personal academic goals by providing high quality, affordable, personalized tutoring. About our Service We believe tutoring should be focused on mastering the student’s school curriculum, based on their particular challenges and needs. Through one-on-one interaction, our tutors can determine a student’s strengths and weaknesses and create an individualized approach to address any problem areas. This approach is flexible and allows the tutor and student to creatively work through challenging subject matters. Expert Tutors Work with the finest tutors on the Northshore. Members of our staff have classroom experience, as well as, professional experience working with students of all ages and of all learning types. They are firm in their belief that all students can learn, if given the right tools to work with, and they are creative when it comes to working with individual student needs. Affordable Tuition Inspired Learning is not like other tutoring services. We want families to be able to afford our services without going into debt. INSPIRED LEARNING got its start with the home school movement back in 1997.
Being seasoned elementary teachers, Steve and Eve identified some mild learning difficulties in their first two children. Resource classes at a local public school affirmed the difficulties and offered remedial services. To help the remediation process, Ms. Eve began working one-on-one with the two boys in the afternoons. Within the first six months all of the goals set by the resource team had been attained. At this point neither Steve nor Eve realized the effectiveness of one-on-one instruction. When Ms. Eve "retired" from the public school system to stay home with the growing number of children, the family needed a second income. With much prayer and supplication, the couple sought their heavenly Father for other means of income. Then, one month after the last public school check arrived, Steve was asked if he would tutor a student who was failing math. Remembering, the power of one-on-one instruction with their sons, Steve accepted the offer and INSPIRED LEARNING was born paving its way to becoming one of the most successful tutoring business on the North Shore. Steve and Eve continue to tutor from their home where they converted a small room into two nice tutor rooms. This Fall they will add the services of a talented, young teacher, Ms. Ellen, to help with the increasing numbers of families looking for an effective way to help their child in school.
